FROM KEVORK MOURAD

I just returned from creating a piece (Time Immemorial--a three-layered piece of acrylic on cotton fabric, 6 x 2.40 meters) for the International Contemporary Art Exhibition: Armenia 2018, Soundlines of Contemporary Art, curated so skillfully by Mazdak Faiznia, who curated the Iranian pavilion of the Venice Biennale, and Marina Hakobyan.
My gratitude toward Fabio Lenzi, CEO of Shaula International LLC, who organized the exhibition, is immense. With his amazing and professional team, this exhibition was put together so quickly yet on such a large scale. ICAE2018 is bringing artists from around the world to Armenia, and the ICAE2018 has funded the renovation of Hay Art in Yerevan to accommodate the exhibition. The scope of the project and its effects on the economy and the artistic scene of Armenia are awe-inspiring.
See below:
“ICAE2018 will be held in Yerevan between 25th of September and 25th of October 2018 under the patronage of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Activities and Tourism of Italy, the Ministry of Culture of Armenia and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, and aims to be the most important contemporary art exhibition ever organized within the Caucasian region in the past decades for the importance of the artists participating and for the diversity of origins of the artworks.
And my gratitude, as always to Vasken Yacoubian and AGBU(one of the seven locations of the exhibition) for their role on this project and for his continues support of my work.
