Rossella Biscotti
Born in Molfetta, Italy, 1978. Lives and works in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Rossella Biscotti uses montage as a gesture to reveal individual narratives and their relation to society. In her cross media practice, cutting across filmmaking, performance and sculpture, she explores and reconstructs social and political moments from recent times through the subjectivity and experiences of individuals often posed against the backdrop of an institutional system.  Rossella Biscotti has taken part in major international exhibitions including Contour Biennale, Mechelen, Sonsbeek 16, Arnhem (2016); 55th Venice Biennale and 13th Istanbul Biennale (2013), dOCUMENTA 13 and Manifesta 9 (2012). She has been invited to participate in the coming Contour Biennale 9, Mechelen (2019). Her works have been presented in solo exhibitions at Museion in Bolzano (2015), Haus Lange and Haus Esters in Krefeld, Wiels in Brussels, Sculpture Center in New York (2014); Sezession in Wien and e-flux in New York (2013); CAC Vilnius (2012). Rossella has also been invited to participate in group exhibitions at the Van Abbe Museum in Eindhoven and Swiss Institute in New York (2016); IMMA, Dublin (2015); Pinchuk art Center, Kiev and ICA London (2014); MAXXI, Rome (2010–11), Museu Serralves, Porto (2010).
